Growing up, I struggled with insecurity. My parents, who escaped the Cambodian genocide, raised us with a survival mentality, impacting our self-esteem and communication skills
In 2018, after hitting rock bottom following a breakup, I realized I needed to change. I began my self-love journey and started incorporating affirmations into my life and family. This process was initially awkward but eventually transformed our interactions.
When my sister, born in 2015, asked me at four years old, “Peter, am I pretty?” I knew I had to make a difference. Not wanting her to grow up insecure like I did, we started a daily ritual of mirror affirmations before school. This practice turned her into a confident, radiant child who now expresses love and empathy freely.
Inspired by this, we created the Affirmation Matchdeck to help other families. The game makes affirmations fun and engaging, subtly integrating positive self-talk through the mechanics of a matching game. My sister’s transformation is proof that affirmations can significantly impact a child’s confidence and self-worth.
Now, we send out each Affirmation Matchdeck with love and positivity, hoping to inspire the same transformation in other families. Let’s embark on this journey together, one affirmation at a time.

Unlock the power of positivity with the Affirmation Matchdeck - a unique memory card game that helps players internalize and manifest positive affirmations while having fun with friends and family
The Affirmation Matchdeck features carefully selected "I am" affirmations that automatically engage players in positive self-talk while finding matching pairs
It is designed to evoke self-confidence and self-love. As players play, they are encouraged to let each word become a part of them, as the affirmation states "anything said after the words 'I am' will manifest." When a match is found, players are encouraged to take the matching pair to their heart and state the affirmation with conviction and belief, this helps to internalize the affirmation and make it a part of themselves.
The game can be played solo or in a group, with 1-6 players recommended. The set includes 15 affirmations such as "Awesome," "Beautiful," "Brave," "Creative," "Growing," "Happy," "Healthy," "Kind," "Loved," "Me," "Smart," "Strong," "Talented," "Thankful," and "Wealthy." Each set also includes 30 affirmation cards, 2 blank cards for custom affirmations, and a book-shaped box with a magnetic latch for easy storage and portability.
